Waypoint Projects is a Gabriola Island based plumbing, heating, gasfitting and water treatment company. We are growing and are looking for a qualified full-time Journeyperson Plumber, Apprentice and/or Labourer to join our team. Willing to sponsor ITA apprenticeship for the right candidate.
Job Summary:
Waypoint Projects offers a wide range of residential plumbing services including: new construction, bathroom and kitchen renovations, water treatment, mechanical, well and gas systems, hot water tank, appliance and fixture installation and service work.
Duties:
- Install, repair and maintain pipes, valves, fittings and fixtures
- Collaborate with other trades (general contractors, electricians, etc.)
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing issues
- Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of the B.C. Apprenticeship Program and a valid B.C. Trade Certification as a Plumber
- Partial completion of the B.C. Apprenticeship Program as an Apprentice
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
- Basic mathematics and measurement conversion
- Strong work ethic, reliable and dedicated
- Physical capability to perform the job duties (heavy lifting required)
- Valid B.C. Class 5 Driver’s License
